General Assembly
 
          The General Assembly is the supreme body of the Central Cooperative Union and it comprises proxies of the cooperative unions which are members of the CCU. The proxies are elected by their general assemblies at terms and conditions set out by the Management Board of the Union. The number of proxies to the General Assembly can not be less than 70.
          Each proxy is entitled to one vote in the General Assembly of the Central Cooperative Union, except in the cases when he/ she is authorised to represent another proxy on the basis of written power of attorney.
          The General Assembly of the Central Cooperative Union is summoned:
              1. regular – once every four years by the end of May, to report on the activities of the Union during the past four-year period;
              2. extraordinary – once a year by the end of May to report on the activities of the Union during the prior year;
              3. extraordinary – at the decision of the Management Board and at the request of the Supervisory Board, one third of the members of the Union or the proxies or the President of the Union.
          The decisions of the General Assembly are taken with the majority of more than half of the proxies present.
